Tim Barker is primarily an actor, born in Cumbria and a life-long supporter of Carlisle United. He was performing in "Twelfth Night" on tour in Moscow when he learnt that United had won promotion to the top flight of the Football League.
His theatre work includes appearances in the West End and in Repertory throughout England from Shakespeare to farce and pantomime to melodrama. At the Edinburgh Festival he produced his own one-man show "Shakespeare, the Good Beer Guide", based on the collection of poems "Shakespeare for Shepherds".
Many television appearances include "Dr Who", "Coronation Street", "Inspector Morse" and "All Creatures Great and Small". Films include "A Month in the Country", "Morons from Outer Space" and "Calendar Girls".
